Restorative Sound Bath & Breath Meditation
Classes daily between January 13-31
Healing with sound is an ancient practice that has been used for thousands of years in various cultures around the world. The idea behind the practice is that different frequencies of sound can positively affect our body’s cells and energy pathways to release stuck emotions, alleviate physical and emotional tension, induce relaxation, enhance mental clarity, harmony, healing and promote overall well-being.
You will be invited options to sit on a chair or lie on a yoga mat in the middle of the candlelit room. Maureen will then guide you through a meditation practices using breath work and visualization. In addition you will enjoy some gentle tension release stretches and learn easy simple self regulating techniques to calm the central nervous system that you can do at home. You’ll then be immersed “bathed” in the various sounds that vibrate around the room and body. Then to awaken to a community filled with love and light.
As you prepare for this incredibly powerful step in your self care journey please drink lots of water before and after your session. Wear warm comfy clothes (PJs ), bring a yoga mat and water. All generations welcomed. Children are encouraged.
